Hi Andrew families and friends!
We wanted to send a reminder about our Andrew Staff Parade tomorrow, April 23rd at 5pm! We are starting at the school and will be driving around Andrew, and then the Andrew area countryside. We are only able to drive some streets so please see the routes in the pictures attached to make sure you see us! Families are welcome to find a spot on the route in town or outside of town if we are not passing your house, but please remember to keep distance from others. Both the town route and countryside route are attached. We can’t wait to see you!
The Distance Learning Packets came in today!! The school lobby will be open Tuesday (4/21/20) and Thursday (4/23/20) from 10-2 for you to come in and grab the grade level packets for your children. Please email Mr. K. with any questions: brandon.kirchhoff@andrew.k12.ia.us

I wanted to remind you Andrew School has a little pantry with canned vegetables, boxed pasta dishes, cereal, and other boxed and canned food items. If you have a need, please use this resource. It's there to help all who need it.

Our Andrew Staff is so excited to announce the Andrew Staff Parade coming to you on April 23rd at 5pm! We will be starting at the school and driving around Andrew, and then taking a route around the Andrew area countryside! Families are welcome to come to town to see the staff parade or find a spot on the country route to see us. The countryside route is attached in the picture below. Please feel free to reach out with any questions you have! We cannot wait to see you!
Today, our governor announced that schools in Iowa will remain closed for the remainder of the school year. Despite this being the right thing to do, we are very saddened by this news. We will continue to deliver quality learning experiences via our Voluntary Distance Learning Plan. Please look for additional info and guidance to come out next week. Be safe and take care!

Andrew CSD Families...We are in the process of finalizing all the components of our Voluntary Distance Learning Plan that we hope to roll out by the end of the day. In the meantime, please be sure to check your emails for any updates from your child's teacher today.
Today, the Governor of Iowa announced that school closures will extend thru April 30, 2020. Moving forward, the state will examine the data every two weeks to determine the course of action. Andrew CSD will reach out to all families next week to inform you of our plan to offer voluntary educational opportunities for April 13 - April 30.
Starting Wednesday April 1st, we will be handing out lunches in front of the office doors instead of the park. Simply drive up and we'll drop off your lunches to your car. You won't even have to get out of your car.
If you receive meal deliveries, please have a cooler or box outside your front door. When we drop off your meals, we will put your meals in the container you provide for us and ring your doorbell/knock. We are doing this to social distance during these crazy times.
