Dear Parents, This year we would like to showcase many loved Veterans and we need your help. We will be making a slideshow honoring these loved ones. If you have a Veteran in your life please send in a picture with the following information: -Name -Relation to your child -Branch of Military -Years served We will scan these pictures and get them back to you as soon as possible. If it is easier for you to email the picture with the information please email Mrs. Stevely at bailey.stevely@andrew.k12.ia.us We've extended our date! Hello, Andrew families! We are so excited to announce that this year’s winter concert, “Walking in a Winter Wonderland!,” will be on Tuesday, December 3rd at 6:30 PM in the Andrew gymnasium. We encourage your students to dress in holiday attire/colors! Students will need to be in their classrooms by 6:15 PM. Band students may check in with their teacher, and then head down to the gym to get their instruments set up. Families, Just a reminder there is no afternoon LEAP this afternoon, so all staff can attend Siezure Training.

Reminder. There is no after-school LEAP this Wednesday, October 30th.

We are hosting a food drive to stock our “Free Little Pantry” with nonperishable BOXED food items. We are looking for dry cereal, oatmeal, noodles, instant potatoes, jello, cake mixes, popcorn, granola bars, rice, crackers, ramen noodles etc. Please send food items to school with your child.

Families, The Red Wheel Fundraiser items will be delivered on Monday, October 21st. Please make arrangements to pick up your items at pick up or after school on Monday. Also a big thank you for your participation in this fundraiser. Your participation in these fundraisers helps us provide extra activities for the students and contribute back to our community and other communities in need. Thanks again, Andrew Staff and Students

Jackson County Community Members, Please join us for our 1st Annual Andrew Parent Lighthouse Euchre Tournament on October 19th. This event will be held at the Maquoketa Brewery (110 S MAIN ST SUITE A - Maquoketa, lA 52060) and is set to go from 6 PM - 10 PM. There will also be many Raffle Items there as well. Reminder. There will be no after-school LEAP tomorrow, Wednesday, October 16th, and Thursday, October 17th. There also will be no after-school LEAP on Wednesday, October 30th.

Andrew Families, We wanted to remind you that tomorrow is Fall Picture Day. Please remember to send your order slips with your children. If you need a new order slip, you can get one in the office.

Reminder, there will be no after-school LEAP next Wednesday, the 16th and Thursday, the 17th due to conferences. There will be no after-school LEAP on Wednesday, the 30th for staff training.

Thursday nights for 2nd quarter LEAP is now full. Students can still sign up for Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Andrew Families, We had a bus break down. If you ride Ned/Shawn's route your ride will be a little late picking you up.

I am very proud to announce that Andrew School, along with our partner School, Easton Valley, have received recognition from 21st Century Community Learning Centers for Outstanding Progress in Math and Reading. These awards were presented at the Impact Afterschool Conference.

Andrew Families, The Jackson County ATV Club is sponsoring a safety presentation for all interested parents and young adults. Please see the attachment for the location and details.

Just a quick reminder to sell Red Wheel fundraiser items over the weekend and bring in your packets back on Tuesday, September 24th.

Families, Just a reminder that the fundraiser is due a week from today (September 24th). 100% of the money earned goes back to the students for their fun stuff. Extra trips, treats/snacks (like the IA/ISU day stuff), extra outside play stuff, and other miscellaneous items for those extra events and activities. Thanks for your help with this fundraiser!!

Your child will be receiving a vision screening by Vision to Learn on Wednesday, September 18th. Information was sent home with your student last week. You only need to return the form if you do NOT wish for your child to participate in this screening. Thank you!
