Tomorrow we are sending this flyer home with our students. It has information on how to sign up for YMCA basketball this winter. The YMCA is looking to see if there are people interested in assisting with youth coaching. They are also looking for teams that would be interested in playing in Maquoketa in January and February. Attached are two opportunities we sent home with your children. These activities are over winter break. Both activities seem like something fun to do, a great way to meet others, and at a very low cost. I hope some of you take advantage of these wonderful opportunities!!
This holiday season we have students who are in need of new or gently used winter gear and shoes. Tomorrow at our holiday concert, we will have a giving tree set up at the front entrance with ornaments containing various items our students are in need of. If you are interested in giving, please stop by and take an ornament. Please bring requested items to the front office by Wednesday, December 20th. We will also have our Toys for Tots bin out if you'd like to bring a new wrapped toy to donate. Thank you for your help in our efforts to continue to support our students and community! As a reminder, Andrew School is supporting Jackson County’s Toys for Tots toy drive. We are collecting new, unwrapped toys NOW through December 15th. Please bring all unwrapped toy donations to Andrew School.

Please return your candle fundraiser packets to school. The candle rep will pick up all returned packets this Friday. If we don't have your candle orders, we can order them for your customers. If you have any questions, please call the school office at 563.672.3221.
Retake Picture Day is 11/30/2023! If you're satisfied with your child's picture, no further action is required.
If you purchased and were unhappy with your Picture Package, please send your Picture Package to school with your student on Retake Day. Your Retake Picture Package will be produced and shipped to the school four weeks after Retake Day. Please note, if your child is photographed on the original and Retake Picture Days, the Retake picture will replace the original picture in certain products, like the yearbook.
Students who were absent for Picture Day should come to school prepared to have their picture taken. If you have not preordered, please use the Retake Order Code 78467ZF to place your order at https://inter-state.com/Order. To see your Order History, check your Inter-State Account.

Just a reminder to send students with winter gear to stay warm while they play outside. If the real feel is 10 degrees or above we will go outside. Students need to have a coat, gloves, hat, boots, and snow pants to play in the snow.

Just a reminder that our Fall break starts tomorrow. The school will resume with classes on Monday, November 27th. This is also a great time to take your candle fundraiser with you to any family gathering. We hope you all have a wonderful time with your family and some time to relax. See you next week!!

Coming home today is a flyer giving your family an opportunity to purchase discounted tickets to a Dubuque Fighting Saints hockey game. If we have a good amount of interest in this event, we may look to offer another opportunity before the season is over.

This past Monday our school kicked off a Candle Fundraiser. 100% of the funds raised go right back to the students. The money goes into their Student Council Account for them to do fun things, go to fun places, get extra materials for recess, etc. If you would like to purchase a candle and a student doesn't contact you, there is an order form in the office that we would be happy to assist you with. The scents are also in the office if you would like to smell the different smells.

Just a reminder that we only have school on Monday and Tuesday next week. We sent a message out in September that the coloring on the calendar was incorrect for November 22nd. Both days will be full days and we will have our monthly Leadership Assembly on November 21st.

On Friday, November 10th, Andrew School will be honoring our veterans by hosting an all school assembly at 2:00. Family and friends are welcome to attend. We would also like to encourage our students to wear red-white-blue attire or camouflage attire for this event.

Andrew School is proud of the strength of Lincoln Veach. As you may be aware, the staff and students honored Lincoln today by wearing black, gold, Andrew Hawk, and Iowa Hawkeye attire!! Lincoln will be going to Wrigley Field to be the Kid Captain for the Iowa Hawkeye football team.
