To celebrate our wonderful planet, Andrew Middle School students spent part of the afternoon collecting waste around our school campus and the city park.
We were surprised by the amount of garbage bags of trash we collected!
How did you celebrate Earth Day?
Thursday April 22 Leap will be at First Ward Park in Maquoketa. Please let me know if you plan on picking your child up there.

Here are some pictures from Day #1 of School of the Wild for 5th grade. This is program is for 5th graders only and is a taught in partnership with Jackson County Conservation Office. The purpose is to show students we incorporate all subject areas everywhere... even in nature.
