First grade has been learning about bats in Science. We had a blast learning in the “bat cave” today!
In honor of Red Ribbon Week, all students and staff took the pledge to be drug and bully free! It was awesome seeing the school come together in support. It’s a great day to be an Andrew Hawk!
In 1st grade we have been learning about pumpkins. Learning is way more fun when we can dig in and get our hands dirty!
It may have been too wet for LEAP to go to the park today, but we can always have fun here at school.
We had a very special visitor stop by today! Sheriff Brent Kilburg came by and had lunch with a few of our students. We love having community leaders come in and talk about their career. Thanks for coming Sheriff Kilburg!

LEAP's last afternoon with the Mississippi River Museum. We let the artist in all of us come out. Drew pictures of critters we saw today. 2 corn snakes and a tarantula.
Hope to have the River Museum back again soon.
The City of Andrew will be holding their annual Trick or Treat festivities on Sunday, October 31 from 4 - 6 pm. Have a Happy Halloween!

3 year old preschool exploring the parts of a pumpkin
The 7th grade math students are using their knowledge of proportional relationships to take a recipe and scale it large enough so that every student gets a cookie! More cooking tomorrow!

The Andrew School Board would like to invite you to a public hearing as they continue to explore the possibility of whole grade sharing our middle school. The hearing will be held Tuesday, October 26 at 6:30 pm in the Andrew School gym. Following a short presentation of information, guests will be invited to provide input to the school board to help them make this decision. Participation will be limited to three minutes per speaker. Please consider joining us for the meeting.
