This afternoon 4th graders shared their personal Haikus. A Haiku is a very short form of Japanese poetry that typically contains 3 lines with a total of 17 syllables, in 5 - 7 - 5 pattern.
Second graders were busy comparing and contrasting our reading texts with our compare and contrast glasses we made! Who knew learning could be so much fun?

Maquoketa High School Student Senate sponsored the Jackson County Track and Field Day. A couple of our Andrew students were fortunate enough to participate. These boys had a great time competing in relays, softball throw, long jump and an obstacle course. It was a GREAT day!

For Leadership Day 2018, 4th graders designed, researched, and put together this ALL-STAR door! ⭐️ In teams of three they researched a famous athlete of their choice and wrote a report about that athlete’s leadership! It turned out beautiful!😍🙌🏼
We were able to give the duffle bags and bikes we fundraised for and assembled at Leadership Day to Four Oaks Foster and Adoptive Family Connections today. They will be given to children in foster care in Jackson, Clinton and Dubuque counties. They were so appreciative of our students hard work! Way to make a positive difference, Andrew!
