Hello Andrew CSD Community,
After a thorough process of gathering input and exploring all options, the Andrew CSD School Board has approved plans to add 7th and 8th grade to our whole grade sharing contract with Maquoketa CSD and Bellevue CSD beginning in the 2022-2023 school year.
Nothing is finalized yet. We are still waiting for our partner schools to formally approve the modification and sign the updated contract. However, based on our shared conversations we expect this to be finalized within the coming weeks.
The Andrew School Board and Administration have made a commitment to remain firm on our continued offering of Pre-K - 6th grade moving forward. We felt that expanding our whole grade sharing to include only grades seven and eight offered students new opportunities in junior high while still allowing families the opportunity for their children to remain in Andrew CSD for grade six, when students will benefit from the smaller, family-oriented community that we have built.
We want to thank you all for your input and understanding during this process. We are committed to transforming this change into a positive experience that will ultimately benefit our elementary and junior high students. We have a lot to be proud of and look forward to in the future.
