Hello Andrew School Families,

This week we are transitioning into a new approach to teaching and learning as we launch our Voluntary Distance Learning Plan. This plan will include new lessons and learning opportunities designed and delivered online by all of your child's teachers. To help make this easy and accessible for parents we have been working behind the scenes to develop a plan that targets the following goals:

Clear Communication: To help inform families about the plan and answer common questions we have created a Distance Learning Information and Frequently Asked Questions document.

Consistency: We have worked together with our teachers to develop clear expectations for when content will be posted for families to access. Our teachers also helped to develop a schedule to keep expectations manageable. We know it is important for our families to know when to expect new content from classroom teachers, special education teachers, specials teachers, and more.

Easy Access: We know that you all have many other things on your plate right now. That's why we want to make it as easy as possible for you to find the lessons, assignments, and resources you will need for your child(ren). Starting this Wednesday, April 15 we will be launching a new Distance Learning Site that will house everything you and your child(ren) need in one easy place. The link to the site will be prominently located on the home page of our school website. Teachers may also email you a link that will take you directly to their page. This site will contain all the learning resources your child should need to access Thursday, April 16 throughout the remainder of the school closure.

I would like to thank all of our staff for their continued dedication to making Andrew CSD a great place for students and families. Together, we will all overcome this challenging time as we help each and every student learn today to become leaders tomorrow.

Take Care,

Chris Fee
