OLD BUSINESS

Meeting called to order. Margarette reviewed the minutes from the September 12, 2011 meeting
and Ruth gave the current financial report.

1. Christy stated she would re-update the Request for Funds Form. She wasn’t sure what
happened to it and why the changes weren’t saved. She would remove the travel section
because that would not apply or be reimbursed. Once updated she will send the corrected
version out to Andy to put on the school website.

2. Christy stated the concession stand worker list worked very well for the Junior High
Volleyball games. She will do the schedule for the Junior High Basketball the same way and
have the girls parents scheduled to work for the girls games in November and December and
the boys parents/girls cheerleaders parents scheduled to work the boys games in January/
February.
NEW BUSINESS

Margarette talked about Birdies for Charity (BFC) and brought last year’s brochure so
everyone can look at it.
• Tournament is usually held the first weekend in July.
• Organizations usually get 10% in returns.
• You can pledge per birdie or a straight dollar amount. Example: If there is 1900
birdies and you pledge .01cent you would then owe $19
• You can take free chance and guess the correct amount of birdies that would be
made, if you guess correctly you win a new car.
• BFC will send a check to your organization around September/October.
The booster club decided to table this decision to participate until later in the Spring when the
new brochure came out.

Ron will work on the King and Queen Basketball tournament that will be held on
Thanksgiving weekend. Members also discussed a possible Volleyball Tournament. Ron will
talk with Tracey Till to help organize this and also maybe a bean bag tournament.

The members talked about the soup and sandwich dinner for the teachers during conferences
on Thursday, October 13, 2011, from 4:30 – 6 p.m.
•Kim Bruggenwirth-Crockpot of Cheddar Chowder; Sharon Ernst-Crockpot of ????; and
Karen Kilburg-Crockpot of ????.
• Karen will check on bowls, spoons and napkins.
•Jeff Johnson will bring ham sandwiches.
•Sherri/Carli Strathman-Cupcakes
•Lisa Dursky-Drinks
•Christy Schmidt-Crackers and clean up
Teachers will then help themselves to soup and ham sandwiches as their schedules allow. Set-up
will be Karen Kilburg and clean-up will be left to anyone who wants to volunteer.

Members voted on Andy Crozier’s request for computer tags. All in favor and it was passed
the Booster Club would pay $160 for the Technology tags for the students new laptops.

Lisa Dursky talked about her request for the play. She asked if the Booster Club would
help with expenses of $250 for the background of the play. This would cover the ply-wood
and wheels to create the back ground as well as the money to cover paint for the scenes she
would need. This was voted on and passed the Booster Club would pay up to $250 toward
this project.

Christy asked if the Booster Club would be interested in providing lunch at St. Johns Church
auction on October 30, 2011 in conjunction with The Andrew Achievers 4H group. The
Booster Club decided they would give this project to the 4-H group. Christy has a meeting
with the 4H group on Sunday Oct 9th to discuss this with their group. She will e-mail and let
us know if they decided to go forward with it or not.

Christy asked about a Homecoming celebration this year. Andy stated the student council
will be doing “Spirit Week” and possible follow-up with a “Snowball Dance” in January.
This would chaperoned by Karen Kilburg and Andy Crozier and any other parents that
would like to volunteer.
