Greetings Andrew Community,
My name is Brandon Kirchhoff and I’m thrilled to be the next principal of the Andrew School District. I was drawn to the Andrew School District for many reasons, including the community’s support of the district, the school’s focus on creating leaders not just learners, and the dedication of the staff to their students.
My wife and I both grew up and graduated from Maquoketa before moving off to college and starting our first teaching jobs. Erin and I will be moving to the area from North Liberty with our daughters Cohen (4) and Mansyn (7 months) and pup Riley. After teaching high school art for ten years, Erin decided to make her photography business full time. She runs her business, The Locket Photography, as well as our wedding venue/reception hall, Midnight Farm on the south side of Maquoketa, while keeping our girls at home.
I graduated from Maquoketa High School in 1999 and the University of Northern Iowa in 2003. After teaching in Waterloo for three years, I got married and relocated to the Iowa City area. Over the next seven years I taught second, third, and fourth grades in Cedar Rapids. I completed my Master’s degree in Administration from UNI in 2010. I have been the Special Education Facilitator at Hiawatha Elementary for the last four years, working specifically with the Behavior Focused department.
