Andrew CSD is pleased to welcome three new staff members to the 2011-2012 school year. We asked each of them to take a few minutes and answer a few questions so the community could learn more about them.

Katie Petty - MS Resource Teacher

Why did you choose Andrew Community School District? A great bunch of staff on my interview team and a small community.

Where were you and what did you do before Andrew CSD? Special Education Teacher in the state of Washington.

What are some of your teaching goals for this coming school year? Be effective in delivering a collaborative inclusion model in classrooms, instruct students in academic deficits to raise their level of academic
achievement

What do you do when you are not teaching? I enjoy spending time with my husband, and our little mini poodle, Dukey. Additionally, my husband and I just purchased a home in Dubuque and keep ourselves busy with remodeling it.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband and son.  I am also an avid reader--I LOVE reading books on my Nook!
