The Andrew and Easton Valley Community School Districts will be advertising for a shared Superintendent position starting Friday, April 1. The boards met individually on Wednesday, March 30 and then together later in the evening to discuss their desires to fill the vacancy due from Mr. Crozier’s resignation. The boards both commented on the success of the current sharing relationship with Mr. Crozier and the desire to continue to work together in the future. Board members from both schools mentioned how the sharing of a superintendent is successful due to other sharing arrangements the districts are also engaged in (business manager and transportation director). The positive relationship and financial incentives made the decision to share again very easy for both boards.
The boards have decided to forego hiring a search company and have asked Mr. Crozier, current Superintendent, to lead the search process for the districts. Board Presidents and Vice Presidents will meet with Mr. Crozier next week to determine details of the search and the involvement of multiple stakeholder groups. The boards hope to have a superintendent hired before the end of the current school year. The districts will announce a detailed timeline next week and how stakeholders will be involved in the process.
Over the next few weeks, the districts will be soliciting input regarding superintendent characteristics. Please be on the lookout for online surveys to provide input. The board will use this input to finalize the superintendent profile that will be used as a guide to hire the next leader of Easton Valley and Andrew.
If you have any questions regarding the search for the next Superintendent, please contact Andy Crozier (email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org).
